This programme will introduce students not only to sports broadcasting, but also to the broader goals, spirit, and ideals of the Olympic Games.
The aim of the Broadcast Training Programme is to place students, mainly from the academic institutions of Beijing, into broadcast positions at the 2008 Summer Games. The positions that students fill will include archivist/librarian, audio assistant, camera assistant, commentary systems operator, liaison officer, logger, utility assistant, logistics assistant, interpreter, and business assistant.
The 2008 Olympic Broadcast Training Programme will provide students with the opportunity to work in a cross-cultural setting while being challenged to function professionally at the largest broadcast event in the World.
