BOCOG
The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) was established on December 13th, 2001, five months after Beijing won the right to host the 2008 Games.
The Committee currently consists of 22 departments looking after everything from venue planning to environmental management.

IOC
On 13 July 2001 at the 112th IOC Session in Moscow, Beijing was elected the Host City for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad in 2008. The vote followed in line with the recommendation of the IOC Evaluation Commission that "a Beijing Games would leave a unique legacy to China and to sports. The Commission is confident that Beijing could organise an excellent Games".

OBS
Beginning with the Olympic Games of 2008, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has created Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) to serve as the Official Broadcaster for the Olympics (OBO) for future Olympic Games. For more information, email info@obs.es
